I might be going on a cruise next fall and I will be taking the Costa -Costa Romantica ship. Does the food taste good and is it fresh?

I think it depends on the ship. I went on a carnival cruise and the food was not fresh, cold, and no variety. On royal Caribbean it was the opposite, always fresh hot, and a lot of variety. Choices included duck, lobster, filet mignon, prime rib.

Food on Cruise ships is out of sight. Been on 3 different lines and found that Royal Carribian is the best. We did not like Holland American

The greatest food of my entire life was eaten on a cruise, awesome selection, awesome service, buffets…healthy options, can’t really ask for much more….but you definitely can ask for whatever you want-

all depends what restaurants on land you’re normally visiting. If it’s the "friendly yellow M"-group or a 4 star-Restaurant…
Just make sure that you exercise a bit – normally they feed you almost 24 hours a day, starting with "early bird" Tea and Coffee with cakes and sandwiches and ending with a midnight snack. And if you’re still hungry you can bother the room service…
All food is fresh as the ships bunker in many ports.
    Enjoy the cruise!

According to a review I’ve read about your ship, the dining would be what you could compare to Olive Garden. Although not one of the best known lines for its dining options, you will probably be satisfied with the food on your Costa cruise lines trip. There will be plenty of food everywhere throughout the cruise, including a buffet and a pizzeria. Also, according to the review, much of the meat and seafood is frozen. You may want to keep this in mind if you are selecting the cruise mainly for its dining options, because if you are really into the food, you will be disappointed. If you are going for the experience, and won’t be too upset if all the food isn’t excellent, then you will be fine.

Cruise food will taste as good if not better than land-based restaurants. Most ships take GREAT pride in their cuisine.

    Food tastes like food.
The cruise food is prepaired by better trained chefs than at your average Waffle House.
