A TripAdvisor™ TripWow video of a travel blog to Santa Cruz, Ecuador by TravelPod blogger Destin8ion. See this TripWow and more at tripwow.tripadvisor.com The Galapagos Cruise!!! “Robbed, Over budget, but still going to The Galapagos Islands!!! You know it´s love when he comes along for the incredibly expensive trip to the Galapagos Islands. Mike and I never had it planned in our budget for both of us to go, but for me it sounded too good to pass up. After all, I teach Biology for goodness sake. So as I went crazy over seeing evolution in action and being the geeky girl in the group bringing my species and taxonomy checklist and a notepad to take notes, Mike came along and enjoyed it also. I`m so glad he did. Getting There…I was a little nervous because Mike still hadn´t received his passport. Many agencies say that they check your passport upon entering Galapagos even though you are still in Ecuador. So we came prepared…police report and forms from the Embassy. No problem. We left from Guayaquil, Ecuador by plane on a 2 hour flight over the Pacific Ocean, then landed on Baltra Island (one of the many in Galapagos). We were both excited getting this great last minute deal for 8 days on a luxury yacht only days before. After bussing across Baltra we take a ferry to The Charles Darwin Research Station. The Giant tortoise breeding station is situated there. INCREDIBLE. When we walked toward where the adults were we had to be careful not to step on them. In Galapagos

(c) 2005 The Walt Disney Company. This is Part 8 of the 2005 Walt Disney World Vacation Planning Video. I’ve shown some of the DVD’s Menus in this video to simulate watching the actual DVD. – there are some repeats and the Resort types have both a small and large version – this video shows the Value and Moderate Resorts. Disney’s Theme for the Resort in 2005 is “The Happiest Celebration On Earth,” to celebrate the opening of Disneyland in 1955 and ran from May 5, 2005 thru September 30, 2006). Disney sent this DVD and a planning CD-ROM in the Vacation Planning kit. The DVD is extensive – it has multiple menus and sub-menus, segments on Disneyland, the Disney Cruise Line and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. There is also a Trivia Quiz on the disk. Disney produced multiple versions of the DVD – I got this in April 2005. It is different from the ones I got in February 2005 and May 2006 – this version opens with Walt Disney opening Disneyland and an ad for the upcoming Celebration – the February 2005 and May 2006 versions didn’t have that. The May 2006 version had a segment on “Expedition Everest.” I have discovered thru exploration of the DVD that Disney has hidden a “weenie” (Walt’s name for a Surprise) on the disc which will be in Part 15 of the series. ENJOY!
